Jon Townsin
Jon specialises in personal and organisational development. His practice reflects a deep and questioning approach to development. Whether in one-to-one coaching assignments, small group interventions or in large-scale programmes, Jon works with clients to reveal the tacit knowledge and assumptions that influence their ability to achieve goals.
With a background in psychology, his working history encompasses senior Human Resources roles within the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and the NHS and his experience of large scale culture change led him to question the orthodox understanding of growth and change. Jon is convinced that traditional change methods alone are not sufficient to achieve what organisations are striving for.
Jon operates as an independent consultant, and his own practice is called Acyntia, which is an ancient word that reflects the notion of being able to see and work with the parts and the whole at the same time.
Sense making, storytelling, and action learning are typical examples of the way that Jon works and engages with his clients – these include health sector, manufacturing and public services organisations.
